USA-NPN Privacy Policy
You are able to visit the USA National Phenology Network (USA-NPN) website without identifying who you are or providing any personal information. If you do decide to register with USA-NPN to facilitate reporting your phenological observations, we will not sell, trade, or give away your personal information (e.g. home address, e-mail address, etc.).
To protect observer privacy, the locations for phenology observations will be rounded to 0.1 degrees latitude and longitude. Researchers who register with USA-NPN and have a need for more precise location information will be given access to the exact observation coordinates, but observers will only be identified by a numeric observer ID. If you are making observations that need to be protected more stringently (for example, obsrevations on a threatened or endangered species), please contact the USA-NPN National Coordinating Office (admin@usanpn.org) so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
Please note that you must be over the age of 13 to subscribe to our mailing list and register with the USA-NPN. Remember that any contact information that you provide will be used only for email announcements and mailings from USA-NPN. Messages will be kept to a minimum.
