The 3rd annual PROSE symposium features recent research into the study of phenology as being conducted in the Southwest and nationally. Keynote speaker Dr. Abe Miller-Rushing of the USA-National Phenology Network will speak on “Henry David Thoreau’s Contribution to Climate Change Science: How Climate Change is Restructuring Ecological Communities”. We will accept poster abstracts through September 25, 2009. The symposium is free but please register here.
Logisitics
Morning and Afternoon refreshments are provided, but lunch is on your own. Check out some nearby choices with this information about the Park Student Union, as well as a map of restaurants and merchants along University Avenue.
For those traveling from out of town, here is a list of hotels near the UA (and the Park Student Union), the only walkable choice is the Marriot-University Park (first on the list).
For visitors with cars, there are two parking garages nearby: Tyndall Garage and the Sixth Street Garage (see map). The cost for parking an entire day at the garage is $8.00.
